VVA’s Adam Kavanagh Appointed to RICS Americas World Regional Board

We are proud to share that Adam Kavanagh, MRICS, Partner and Managing Director at VVA – Part of Drees & Sommer has been appointed to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Americas World Regional Board.

RICS is a leading global professional body with more than 130,000 members across 140+ countries, dedicated to advancing knowledge, setting qualifications, and upholding professional standards in land, real estate, construction, and infrastructure. With a heritage of more than 150 years, RICS influences global markets, helps shape public policy, and promotes sustainable and inclusive development worldwide.

The RICS Americas World Regional Board plays a key role in guiding the institution’s strategy across North and South America. In this role, Adam will collaborate with other leaders to support RICS members throughout the region, ensuring the organization’s values and standards continue to make a positive impact on both the profession and society.

With two decades of expertise in cost management, Adam leads VVA’s cost management team and has successfully delivered projects across Commercial, Retail, Healthcare, Infrastructure, and Industrial sectors. His career began in the UK, and since moving to the U.S. in 2015, Adam has continued to bring an international perspective and innovative approach to quantity surveying.

Adam is also deeply committed to advancing sustainability in the built environment and mentoring the next generation of surveyors. He has long believed that earning RICS accreditation is a key milestone in a young professional’s career, and he is passionate about helping future leaders grow within the profession.

This appointment is not only a recognition of Adam’s leadership and expertise, but also a reflection of VVA’s continued commitment to advancing excellence and sustainability in construction and cost management.
